07.06.2012 A special surprise arranged by the organizers awaits the visitors of the second Frundsberg Festival weekend: For the first time since 15 years the Sbandieratori Sansepolcro will be again in Mindelheim. The traditional flagwavers will present their program on Friday, Saturday and Sunday (July 6-July 8) on the Marienplatz as well as during the pageant. In order to get attuned, just watch the short video on Youtube.

Honorary Patron of the Frundsberg Festival 2012
01.03.2012 It is a well-kept tradition of the organisers of the Frundsberg Festival to invite a Honorary Patron. This year, the role was accepted by the Bavarian Minister of the Internal, Joachim Herrmann. A small delegation consisting of the mayor, the state secretary of Finance, the chairman and vice-chairman of the Frundsberg Festival as well as the chief characters (Georg von Frundsberg and Anna von Lodron), visited the Minister in his office in Munich to thank him. Herrmann emphasised that he is really looking forward to witness the Festival he had heard of so much already. He showed himself quite impressed by the elaborate historical garments of his visitors. The minister will be in Mindelheim for the historical pageant on July 1st, 2012.

The golden F
18.11.2011 The official design for the Frundsberg Festival 2012 has been revealed. The image combines the unique character of the Festival with a distinctive design. The inserted "golden F" serves both as a frame and a link between the combative subject of the photo and the more sophisticated aspects of a historical festival such as concerts, plays or the artistry of craftsmen.
