Fähnlein Frundsberg

Every year on Ascension Day, the Fähnlein Helfenstein invites the public to join the traditional “Helfensteiner Tag” in the so-called Eichet area. After the service at 10:00 a.m., flag wavers along pipers and drummers and historic dancers demonstrate their skills. But this is only the calm before the storm. A skirmish with heavy artillery breaks out in the camp of Ludwig Graf Helfenstein leading to hand-to-hand fighting of the mercenaries. The visitors, however, are in no danger whatsoever. They might continue observing the scenery from a distance while enjoying typical delicacies of the Helfenstein Fähnlein like the “Rahmfleck” (a bun with sour cream, bacon and fresh herbs). For further information please visit the following website:
