Ever since the Frundsberg Festival has been celebrated in the present way, the Wednesday afternoon is given over to the children. For several hours, the boys and girls take control of the camp in the town moat to enjoy themselves in different historical games. There are dared evil races as well as tournaments for ring jousting on wooden hobby-horses. Hoops are bowled with a stick, and the children enjoy using stilts, marbles and wooden spinning-tops. Last but not least, the Fähnlein Rechberg organises a children’s crossbow competition. Those already exhausted from all these diversions might prefer to lie in the hay listening to stories about brave knights and beautiful ladies. Finally, Georg von Frundsberg and his wife Anna von Lodron will be there to answer whatever questions the children might ask. Responsible: Fähnlein Ems, Fähnlein Rechberg.
